RE.681 JEWISH HISTORY. Through independent research, the candidate will research the history of the Jewish nation, up to the present day.(8 hours)

RE.682 WORLD RELIGIONS. This is a comprehensive study of the world religions from ancient Egypt, Greece, and Rome to present-day primal religions and the great religions - HINDUISM, BUDDHISM, JUDAISM, ISLAM, and CHRISTIANITY.(8 hours)

RE.683 BIBLE ARCHAEOLOGY. The candidate pursues a comprehensive study of Biblical archaeology which allows one to study the most recent findings as well as the "Cities of Judah."

RE.684 HISTORY OF RELIGION IN AMERICA. This course is a documentary history of religion in America which extends from the period prior to European settlement through the colonial period, up to the Civil War. (8 hours)

RE.741 HISTORY OF CHRISTIANITY. History of Christianity is a clear and stimulating study of the Christian faith, from its earliest beginnings to the present. It takes the student from its earliest days to the late 20th century. (8 hours)

RE.742 OLD TESTAMENT TIMES. This course aids the candidate to understanding the Old Testament and the history of the Israelites. It brings to bear upon the Old Testament narratives; cultural, archaeological, and sociological discoveries that illuminate some of the more obscure events and place others in the framework of ancient near eastern life. ( 8 hours)

RE.781 LIFE AND TIMES OF JESUS. The candidate studies the life and times of Jesus in relation to various subjects presented by Christ, and the cultural and social customs of His day. ( 8 hours)

RE.782 INDEPENDENT RESEARCH. The Doctoral candidate is allowed to pursue a study in religion that appeals to his or her on interest. The research work will be written in form of a thesis.
