Emmanuel Baptist University The Emmanuel Baptist University is located on Route 1, Connelly Springs, North Carolina. We are five hundred yards off Highway 18 North, 21 miles from Shelby, NorthCarolina,on the George Hildebran School road, 11 miles south of Interstate 40 at Morganton, North Carolina. Nestled in the foothills of the beautiful South Mountain, a seven acre campus and 30,000 square feet of floor space; a training school for ministers and Christian workers. The Emmanuel Baptist University is comprised of The Emmanuel Baptist Seminary, The Emmanuel Baptist College, The Emmanuel School of Religion, and The Emmanuel Bible College. Dr. William Reynolds, several years ago, became burdened about ministers and Christian workers not having the educational advantage of getting a sound fundamental education. With this dream of providing a means of acquiring an education for preachers, the Emmanuel Baptist College, and the Emmanuel Baptist Seminary became reality in 1984. Meeting in classroom facilities of the Manna Baptist Church, in Shelby, North Carolina, curriculum development soon demanded the formation of The Emmanuel Bible College and the Emmanuel School of Religion. In 1987, the School was moved to the Wallace Grove Baptist Church, in Shelby, North Carolina. In the Summer of 1990, we were accredited as the Emmanuel Baptist University. The purpose of Emmanuel Baptist University is to provide a sound fundamental theological education to ministers and Christian workers, for the advancement of the ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ, to meet the challenge we are given by the great commission of our Lord, to teach, preach and counsel, properly presenting the claims of the gospel, and articulating the benefits of the gospel. We offer full time on campus studies. We are not a part time night school. We are a degree granting school. We are chartered in the State of North Carolina as the Emmanuel Baptist University. We accept students without regard to race, creed, color, national or ethnic origin, and we do not discriminate for any reason providing anyone our program of studies. |
